YOU DONT HAVE TO OWN AN AMG TO HAVE ALL THE FUN… E550 BITURBO ECU UPGRADE
You don’t have to own an AMG Mercedes to have all of the fun. Dyno-Comp has several performance packages available which benefit many non-AMG vehicles. This 2013 Mercedes-Benz E550 BiTurbo was re-flashed by Dyno-Comp to produce very impressive gains both in the higher rpm’s along with all the way through the mid-range. With this upgrade comes an increase in horsepower, torque, fuel economy, and a drastic improvement on the cars overall drive-ability. Dyno-Comp’s in-house ECU re-flash is undetectable at the dealership level and can normally be completed in 1-2 business days.
If you are looking to take your Mercedes-Benz even further above and beyond the ECU re-flash, Dyno-Comp does offer performance packages to include upgraded downpipes! If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to upgrade your car, please feel free to contact our performance experts at 480.596.0500!

DYNO-COMP TUNED 1959 “PORSCHE-RU” OUTLAW 356
Dyno-Comp recently had the pleasure of working on a very unique and classic 1959 Porsche Outlaw 356 that was equipped with a Subaru 2.5L turbocharged engine! All of the tuning was performed using a Cobb Accessport on the factory Subaru ECU, this allowed for a seamless integration that did not require any extra modifications. With over 11 years of tuning experience Dyno-Comp has the capabilities to tackle any project, whether stock or highly modified. The owner of this particular Porsche used his new found horsepower to compete in the Copperstate 1000 with great success!
WE LOVE OUR CUSTOMERS
One of Dyno-Comp’s primary goals is to make sure customers are happy with their cars the day that they pick them up as-well as years into the future. This is a perfect example of another satisfied customer expressing his joy with Dyno-Comp’s stage-4 performance package! Thank you Paul!
“My experience with Dyno-Comp has been totally about superior customer
service. Their collective knowledge, expertise and practical application are
beyond reproach. When I purchased my first STI, they were the ONLY shop
I trusted my vehicle to for modifications. Yes, I said TRUSTED, that is my
first consideration for any service I seek. I started at a “Stage 2″ package
and was pleasantly surprised my vehicle could be that responsive.
Dyno-Comp staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and answered all
of my questions / concerns to my satisfaction. Long story short, I was so
impressed by the power / handling increase that I had had Dyno-Comp
upgrade my STI to a “Stage 4″ level within (2) months. I am writing this
review after (1) year of having my vehicle at this level of performance excellence.
The modifications performed have not only proven themselves stable and reliable,
they never cease to amaze me.
Words cannot express enough satisfaction with my current vehicle configuration
and I will recommend any to prospective customer thinking about having their vehicle
modified or tuned by Dyno-Comp. If your goal is superior customer service performed
by competent technicians with best performance practices in mind, Dyno-Comp is the
shop you want to take your vehicle to. You will NOT be disappointed.” – Paul J.
SUBARU TRANSFORMED FROM WRX TO STI
Why did Subaru decide to use a smaller plastic intake manifold over the classic larger aluminum design? This is a question that many customers ask, although we cannot say for sure Dyno-Comp was able to compare the differences in this build. After removing the factory WRX components such as the plastic intake manifold, small top mount intercooler, and WRX/Legacy style turbocharger there was lots of room to re-install some STI goodies! As you can see from the engine bay pictures above, it would be easy to mistake this WRX for your average STI.
Some key things to note about the engines in the WRX and STI are that they both have a 2.5L platform unlike the older variations. A 2013 STI has dual AVCS where the 2013 WRX has single AVCS in the heads. When we compared this dyno chart to one of a 2013 STI we noticed that the WRX had significantly better turbo spool and higher torque numbers! This new configuration also has a lot more expand-ability for turbo and intercooler upgrade options.

DYNO-COMP MAKES THE CUT!.. TOP 20 IMPORT TUNER SHOPS IN AMERICA
Dyno-Comp has been awarded the 14th spot on the top 20 list of America’s top tuners by Complex.com! We would like to extend a big congratulations to all of our friends in the automotive industry who also made this list. This article was written by Carter Jung on April 9th, 2013. Please click here to view the article in full or you can view a brief explanation of how these choices were made along with the top 20 list bellow…
“Putting together a list of the top Japanese tuning houses is one of the toughest things I’ve ever written. It’s a subject that’s near and dear to my heart, and lists, by and large, are polarizing. I’m sure to piss off a friend or two for leaving their shop off the list. Judging becomes more confounding when there are no real metrics to measure the candidates by. Sure, some lists are conclusive. Take basketball and racing for instance. There’s no denying that Phil Jackson as an NBA coach or Ferrari as a Formula One constructor would come out on top in their respective arenas, but how do you measure what makes a great tuning shop?
That was the challenge. What ingredients do I choose to decide what makes an important and reputable shop? Do you rank them by the number of builds or the quality of each? Are the number of former records important or do they have to be current? Is it the size of the shop or the scope of their work? . Had I written this list when I was building my Acura Integra during the mid ‘90s or when I started in automotive journalism eight years ago, it would have been totally different (R.I.P. JG Engine Dynamics and XS Engineering, respectively).
After much internal debate, here are the parameters I came up with: 1.) All of the above-mentioned things—history, builds, quality, achievements—come into account, along with the shop’s relevance today. 2.) The garage has to be in currently business (duh). 3.) It has to be a shop where customers can drop off their import to be worked on in-house (race shops and individual tuners were excluded). 4.) For this specific list, the operation has to be based in the U.S. (sorry, Canada). If you don’t like this list, which you’re completely entitled to, feel free to rant in the comments about how I didn’t pick some random shop from Podunk, U.S.A. I’ve never heard about. When they blow your motor up six months down the line, don’t come crying to me. These are The 20 Best Import Tuner Shops in America.“ – Carter Jung

DYNO-COMP TUNED 350Z DOMINATES THE TIRE RACK SCCA CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR IN SAN DIEGO
Congratulations to Brian Peters who finished first in the SCCA Street Touring R class at the Tire Rack SCCA Championship Tour in San Diego! This competition proved that Peters Dyno-Comp Tuned Nissan 350z will be one to watch in the upcoming season. All cars are limited to the same 255 width street tire on a 9″ wheel, this puts the much heavier Nissan 350z at a disadvantage against Honda S2000′s and Mazda MX-5′s that have dominated the class since its inception.
